METHOD FOR EARLY DIAGNOSIS OF ATHEROSCLEROSIS IN PATIENTS EXPOSED TO LEAD

The method for the early diagnosis of atherosclerosis in the patients exposed to lead comprises sonography of the thickness of intima-media complex in the common carotid arteries. In the patients with microsaturnism, the thickness of intima-media complex in the internal carotid artery is also measured. When the thickness of intima-media complex in the common carotid artery exceeds 0.9 mm and internal carotid artery – 0.7 mm, the early origin of atherosclerosis is diagnosed.
