METHOD FOR CORRECTING CLAW DEFORMITY OF DISTAL PHALANGE OF THUMB

A method for correcting the claw deformity of the distal phalange of the thumb comprises the partial resection of the distal part of the deformed of the nail plate and V-Y reconstruction of the defect of the palmar soft tissues. The deformed nail plate is resected (up to two thirds), the lateral nail walls and the bone base of the distal phalange are mobilized, adipofascial flap with retrograde blood flow is tailored on the internal surface of the injured finger; this complex is transposed to the back surface of the bone base of the distal phalange and fixed to the growth area. Then allodermoplasty is provided, and aseptic bandage is applied.
