METHOD FOR DETERMINATION OF THE AREA OF MUSCULAR LACUNA IN PIG

A method for the determination of the area of the muscular lacuna in pigs consists in the determination of the area of cross section of the cut of the long muscle of the back between the first and second waist vertebras of half carcasses of pigs, with determination by the contour of the muscle lacuna brought from bulk to tracing paper and with weighing the contour on analytical balance, this speeds up the process of selection in herds and provides profitability in the pig-breeding field.
