A method for diagnosing the risk of development of atherosclerosis in patients with antiphospholipid syndrome involves determination of the levels of cholesterol, low density lipoproteins, high density lipoproteins, homocysteine, C-reactive protein, IL-6, thrombomodulin. Furthermore, at levels of homocysteine 15 micromol / L, C-reactive protein 5 mg / l, IL-6 9 ng / ml and thrombomodulin 5 ng / ml development of atherosclerosis is predicted.
