An in vitro or ex vivo method for introducing a nucleic acid molecule into a cell, comprising dichomethods contacting said cell with a photosensitizing agent, contacting said cell with the molecule to be introduced (transfer molecule) that is incorporated in or connected with a viral vehicle, and irradiating said cell with light at an effective wavelength to activate the photosensitizing agent, in which viral vehicle is an adenovirus or adeno-associated virus and said photosensitizing agent is located in endosomes, lysosomes, the endoplasmid reticulum or the Golgi apparatus.
