Recovery biobutanol fermentation broths

Biobutanol recovery from fermentation broths. # Concentration of butanol in the fermentation broths is low, which makes its highly energy intensive recovery mediantes classical techniques. In the present invention a low energy method for the recovery of butanol is described. This method involves a process of adsorption-desorption using as the adsorbent a polymeric resin. The desorption step is performed more efficiently and integrates with condensation and decantation stages.
