Dental radiology apparatus comprising: - a generator of X-radiation (18) adapted to generate an x-ray beam toward a head of a patient; - collimation means (30) adapted to confer the x-ray beam generated specific dimensions; - a sensor (20) arranged opposite the generator, which receives the radiation projection of the collimated beam which has irradiated the patient's head and providing a cephalometric image of the patient's head, wherein the apparatus comprises: - means (132) acquisition of at least one photographic image of the patient's head; - regulating means (136) of the collimation means according to said at least one photographic image to the dimensions of the collimated X-ray beam to be adjusted to the dimensions of the patient's head.
