The present invention relates to a novel D-hydantoinase from Ochrobactrumanthropi that enantio-selectively hydrolyzes D-hydantoins to theircorresponding D-N-carbamoyl-amino acids; nucleic acids that encode for theenzyme; expression vectors including the nucleic acids; and host cells capableof expressing the enzyme.
