There is an apparatus for treating cancerous or benign conditions of an organbyselective irradiation of the organ tissue with focused energy. The apparatuscomprisesan E-field probe sensor configured to be insertable into an appropriate depthin theorgan tissue; means to monitor temperatures of the skin surface adjacent theorgan;two or more energy applicators for positioning around the organ and deliveringaninitial power level to each energy applicator, wherein each energy applicatoris set atan initial relative phase to focus the energy at the E-field probe oncepositioned in theorgan tissue; means to provide energy to the two or more energy applicators toselectively irradiate the organ tissue with focused energy and treat at leastone ofcancerous and benign conditions of the organ; means to adjust the level ofpower tobe delivered to each energy applicator during treatment based on the monitoredskintemperatures; means to monitor the energy delivered to the energy applicators;meansto determine total energy delivered to the energy applicators and displayingthe totalenergy in real time during the treatment; and wherein treatment is completedwhenthe desired total energy dose has been delivered by the energy applicators totheorgan.
