The invention provides a hair care composition comprising awater-soluble, nonionic polymer of ethylene oxide and a water-soluble,nonionic cellulose ether. The polymer of ethyleneoxide is a linear homopolymer of ethylene oxide characterisedby the general formula:H(OCH2CH2)n OHin which n has an average value of from 45,000 to 185,000 andin that the nonionic cellulose ether is selected from methylcellulose, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose and mixtures thereof.The combination of a water-soluble, nonionic polymer ofethylene oxide and a water-soluble, nonionic cellulose etherprovides improved wet sensory benefits when the composition isa shampoo. A surprising improvement in ease of rinsing has beennoted.
