The invention relates to production of a liquid from wells by mechanical meansand canbe used for operating producing wells by means of electrically-poweredsubmersible centrifugalpumping units (EPSCPUs) with controllable electrical drives.The method for short-term well operation according to the invention comprises:controlling the EPSCPU capacity by changing a proportion between a liquidpumping-out-of-wellduration (minutes) and a liquid accumulation-in-well duration (tens ofminutes); andcontrolling a pressure by changing a pump rotation speed.Use of the method allows increase of the well operation profitability byincreasingproduction volumes by 10 to 15 % due to optimization of the parameters of thesystem"formation/well/unit;" reducing the electric power consumption by 2 to 3 timesdue to using theequipment having the best power characteristics and provision of its work inoptimal modes;increase of the time between overhauls by 1.5 to 2 times due to optimizationof the equipmentworking modes; and keeping costs of controllable EPSCPUs at the level of thecosts ofuncontrollable EPSCPUs due to reduction of overall dimensions of theequipment.
