METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIA FOR REAL-TIME OIL AND GAS FIELD PRODUCTION OPTIMIZATION USING A PROXY SIMULATOR

Methods, systems, and computer readable media are provided for real-time oiland gas field production optimization using a proxy simulator. A base model(30) of a reservoir (100), well (100), pipeline network (100), or processingsystem (100) is established in one or more physical simulators (26). Adecision management system (24) is used to define control parameters, such asvalve settings (410), for matching with observed data (114). A proxy model isused to fit the control parameters to outputs of the physical simulators (26),determine sensitivities of the control parameters, and compute correlationsbetween the control parameters and output data from the simulators (26).Control parameters for which the sensitivities are below a threshold areeliminated. The decision management system (24) validates control parameterswhich are output from the proxy model in the simulators (26). The proxy modelmay be used for predicting future control settings for the control parameters.
