USE OF A HDAC INHIBITOR AND A HER-2 INHIBITOR IN THE TREATMENT OF BREAST CANCER

The invention provides for the use of a HDAC inhibitor and a HER-2 inhibitorto treat breastcancer. The combination of HDAC inhibitor and a HER-2 inhibitor exhibit asynergistictherapeutic effect compared to the therapeutic effect of the HDAC inhibitoralone or thetherapeutic effect of the HER-2 inhibitor alone. Also provided is the use of aHDAC inhibitorand a HER-2 inhibitor in the manufacture of a medicament to treat breastcancer. In someembodiments, a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) is also used.
