TRANSITION METAL CATALYSTS FOR C-O HYDROGENOLYSIS AND HYDRODEOXYGENATION

摘要

Phosphoranimide-metal catalysts and their role in C-O bond hydrogenolysis andhydrodeoxygenation (HDO) are disclosed. The catalysts comprise of first rowtransition metals suchas nickel, cobalt and iron. The catalysts have a metal to anionicphosphoranimide ratio of 1:1 andcatalyze C-O bond hydrogenolyses of a range of oxygen-containing organiccompounds underlower temperature and pressure conditions than those commonly used inindustrialhydrodeoxygenation.
