摘要

Zirconium-based alloy compositions for brazing fillerto obtain improved corrosion resistance in zirconium orzirconium alloy joints and a joining method using the sameare provided. By using the zirconium-based alloy in whichtitanium is limited to the minimum as brazing filler andbrazing the zirconium or zirconium alloys, the constituentelements of the filler alloy can be diffused to the insideof the base metals and accordingly the joints whosecomposition is similar and uniform to that of the basemetals and whose corrosion resistance is excellent underhigh temperature, high pressure, water, vapor, or water-vapormixed condition can be obtained. Therefore, the alloycompositions can be used as brazing filler to join nuclearfuel cladding tubes (sheaths), bearing pads, spacers,spacer grids, and core structures of light and heavy waternuclear reactors.
