The invention relates to novel compounds which have the general formula (I): Formula (I), wherein: m = 0, 1 or 2; R1 and R2 = a hydrocarbon group, linear or branched, C6 to C12; R3 = H, a linear or branched C1-C12 hydrocarbon group optionally comprising one or more heteroatoms; a C3-C8 monocyclic hydrocarbon group, optionally comprising one or more heteroatoms, or a monocyclic (hetero) aryl group; or R2 and R3 together form a - (CH2) n- group with n = 1 to 4; R4 = a linear or branched C2-C8 hydrocarbon group or a monocyclic aromatic group; R5 = H or a hydrocarbon group, linear or branched, C1 to C12. The invention also relates to processes for synthesizing these compounds and to the use of said compounds as ligands for uranium (VI) and, in particular for extracting uranium (VI) from an aqueous solution of 'Phosphoric acid.
