A method for preparing a catalyst. The method comprises the following steps: (1) mixing a ZSM-5 molecular sieve, a phosphorus source, a base material, a bonding agent and water to prepare water slurry, wherein total content of components except the water is 20-50wt% with a total weight of the water slurry as a benchmark; (2) performing spray drying on the slurry prepared in step (1) to obtain a granular intermediate product; (3) performing roasting on the granular intermediate product prepared in step (2) to obtain the catalyst for preparing olefin from methanol in a fluidized bed. The present invention also provides the catalyst prepared using the method and a method for preparing olefin from methanol in a fluidized bed using the catalyst. In the method for preparing olefin from methanol, a conversion rate of the methanol is greater than 99%, selectivity of propylene is high, and C4 selectivity can reach up to 32%.
