Substrate for the growth of cultured cells in three dimensions

We describe a cell culture substrate comprising a polymerised high internalphase emulsion polymer adapted and modified for use in the routine culture ofcells in three dimensions; typically mammalian cells and the use of the substratein a cell culture system for investigation and analysis of proliferation, differentiationand function of cells.
