The invention relates to a method for producing glucose from cellulose material,in which a starting material containing cellulose is treated with a liquid treatmentmedium that comprises an ionic liquid, anions are selected therefrom using polyatomicanions, and the material containing cellulose and which is treated with ionicliquid undergoes enzymatic hydrolysis.
