A device for assisting treatment of diabetes, wherein: a control unit (22) acquires, from a memory unit (23), preprandial blood glucose level data including multiple blood glucose levels measured before meals and postprandial blood glucose level data including multiple blood glucose levels measured after meals (S11, S13); calculates a mean preprandial level that is the mean of the preprandial blood glucose levels (S12); calculates a mean postprandial level that is the mean of the postprandial blood glucose levels (S14); calculates the mean blood glucose level that corresponds to the mean of the mean preprandial level and the mean postprandial level (S15); calculates an estimated HbA1c level using the mean blood glucose level (S16); and displays the estimated HbA1c level thus calculated on a display (10) (S17).
