A backlight module of a liquid crystal display screen, comprising a backlight source (101) and a backlight source control device (100). The backlight source control device (100) comprises a first switch (102); a boosting module (103); and a control module (104) for controlling the first switch (102) to allow the backlight source (101) to be turned on and turned off under the control of the control module (104), and for controlling the boosting module (103) to allow the boosting module (103) to keep outputting a voltage to the backlight source (101) after the backlight source (101) is turned off by the first switch (102).
