The apparatus comprises a body having a closed first end 28 adapted to 5 support at least a portion of the concrete slab during curing and a second end 30 adapted to contact a ground surface 22. The body has sidewalls 26 around a periphery thereof and at least one cavity provided therein, the at least one cavity extending 4t least partially from said second end 30 toward said first end 28. A plurality of supporting posts 32 are located in the cavity and extend from the first end 28 to the 10 second end 30 of the body. The posts 32 each have a proximal end adjacent the first end 28 of the body and a distal end adapted to contact the ground surface 22 to provide support to the first end of the body.
