The invention relates to a method for modeling a building or at least one room of said building on the basis of the analysis of a limited number of photographs of walls of said building, implemented in a computer environment comprising processing means and storage means, characterised in that it comprises steps consisting in: storing the digital images of a number of essentially non-redundant photographs in a sequenced manner; identifying, in each digital image, the contour of at least one element that can be associated with a geometric constraint; applying a geometric constraint from a group of constraints to each contour; calibrating each digital image; calibrating the digital images in relation to each other by matching each element to the different images on which it has been identified; and constructing and storing a set of data representative of a three-dimensional envelope of the building or of said room using the geometric and semantic characteristics of the matched objects, said envelope consisting in an organised assembly of the component elements of the building.
