The present invention relates to a method for preparing hyperbranched polyamidoamine particles and hyperbranched polyamidoamine particles prepared thereby, the method for preparing hyperbranched polyamidoamine particles comprising the steps of: a) preparing a polyamidoamine precursor mixture from a multifunctional amine monomer and a multifunctional acrylamide monomer; and b) polymerizing the polyamidoamine precursor mixture into cross-linked hyperbranched polyamidoamine particles by using reverse phase suspension polymerization. It is possible to remove heavy metals present in an aqueous solution without a separate ultrafiltration apparatus by using the hyperbranched polyamidoamine particles obtained by the present invention.
