The method for evaluating the thermodynamic equilibrium of a gas-liquid mixture when conducting filtration experiments involves pumping gas and liquid phases into a multiphase separator, said phases having a specified volume ratio in a flow and specified flow rates. During the pumping process, the volumes of the gas and liquid phases in the separator are registered and the rate of accumulation of each phase in the separator is calculated. The level of thermodynamic equilibrium of the phases is judged according to the difference between the rates at which the phases are pumped and the rates at which the phases accumulate in the separator.
