The present invention addresses the problem of improving the luminous efficiency of an organic light emitting element. The present invention provides an organic light emitting element which comprises an upper electrode, a lower electrode, and a light emitting layer that is arranged between the upper electrode and the lower electrode. The light emitting layer contains a host and a first dopant, and an auxiliary ligand of the first dopant is a pyridyl triazole derivative. The auxiliary ligand of the first dopant contains a functional group R₁ or a functional group R₂, and the functional group R₁ and/or the functional group R₂ moves the first dopant to the upper electrode-side surface of the light emitting layer. The present invention also provides: a coating liquid for organic light emitting layer formation, which uses an organic light emitting layer material; an organic light emitting element which uses the coating liquid for organic light emitting layer formation; a light source device which uses the organic light emitting element; and a method for producing the organic light emitting element.
