NON-HALOGEN FLAME-RETARDANT RESIN COMPOSITION AND INSULATED WIRE/CABLE HAVING NON-HALOGEN FLAME-RETARDANT RESIN COMPOSITION

[Problem] To provide a non-halogen flame-retardant resin composition which is free from environmental problems and has various characteristics such as high mechanical characteristics and flame retardancy, while providing a molded article thereof with good appearance at the time of extrusion molding; and an insulated wire/cable which has this resin composition.[Solution] A non-halogen flame-retardant resin composition of the present invention contains a predetermined amount of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, a polyethylene and/or an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer, an unsaturated carboxylic acid-modified polyolefin resin, a propylene resin, a predetermined amount of magnesium hydroxide, aluminum hydroxide, and a 1, 3, 5-triazine derivative compound. Since the vinyl acetate contained in the resin component is maintained at a constant amount and no halogen is contained, this flame-retardant resin composition is environmentally friendly and has various characteristics such as high mechanical characteristics and flame retardancy satisfying UL 1581, while providing a molded article thereof with good appearance at the time of extrusion molding.
