PERMANENT-MAGNET DIRECT CURRENT MOTOR WITH AUXILIARY SLOTS FOR REDUCING COGGING TORQUE

A permanent-magnet direct current motor with auxiliary slots for reducing cogging torque comprises a stator and a rotor (2). The stator comprises a casing and a plurality of permanent magnets (1) disposed at the inside of the casing. The rotor (2) is disposed in the stator. More than one auxiliary slot (4) is disposed on each crown of the rotor (2), the width of the auxiliary slot in the rotation direction of the rotor is equal to the notch width of the rotor, the depth of the auxiliary slot is equal to half of the notch width of the rotor, and the number of the auxiliary slots (4) is selected in a way that, when compared with a condition without any auxiliary slot, the least common multiple of the equivalent number of poles and slots is increased, thereby reducing cogging torque and suppressing operation vibration and noise.
