A virtual keyboard text input method based on a motion-sensing technology, comprising the following steps: configuring a motion-sensing device and defining a virtual keyboard; identifying an input state of an operator; completing a keyboard input movement and displaying same; sensing via the motion-sensing device a track that the operator slides on the virtual keyboard; a computer mapping in a chronological order turning points and pause points on the slide track to alphabetic keys; deriving, on the basis of the alphabetic keys and of the order of input, candidate text that the operator plausibly intends to input; listing the candidate text; and the operator selecting a text that self intends to input. The present invention obviates the reliance on fixed input devices such as conventional keyboards, microphones, and writing tablets, also obviates the need for any sensing instrument, and allows virtual keyboard inputs to be completed when made within a sensing space of the motion-sensing device, provides freedom in inputting and comfortable operation, allows for increased text input speed, and allows the operator to configure, on the basis of input habits of self, the thickness of the virtual keyboard and the distances for coming into contact and for breaking contact with the virtual keyboard, thus achieving optimal input experience.
