A method for imaging a radar field of view by means of a radar measuring arrangement is described. The radar measuring arrangement comprises a transmission antenna arrangement having a multiplicity of first horn antenna elements which are embodied in such a way that each first horn antenna element emits radar radiation in another irradiation plane which is tilted with respect to the normal about a specific angular position of the first angular co-ordinate. Furthermore, the radar measuring arrangement comprises a reception antenna arrangement having a multiplicity of second horn antenna elements which are embodied in such a way that every second horn antenna element receives radar radiation within a comparatively wide range of the second angular co-ordinate. The method comprises emitting radar radiation by means of the transmission antenna arrangement, wherein the radiation on the transmitter side is connected successively between different radiation planes with respect to the first angular co-ordinate, the reception of reception signals, reflected back at radar targets, by the reception antenna arrangement, determining the second angular co-ordinate at which the reception signals are incident at the reception antenna arrangement by means of a phase progression of the reception signals or by computational evaluation of various propagation paths by means of digital beam forming and generating a two-dimensional image of the radar field of view by means of the reception signals which are obtained for the various values of the first angular co-ordinate and of the second angular co-ordinate.
