PAPER-LIKE CATALYST, PAPER-LIKE CATALYST ARRAY BODY, AND SOLID OXIDE FUEL CELL PROVIDED WITH PAPER-LIKE CATALYST OR PAPER-LIGHT CATALYST ARRAY BODY

Provided is a paper-like catalyst that has high reforming catalytic activity, can efficiently reform hydrocarbon gases, and is less susceptible to destruction of the catalyst structure due to thermal shock, and occlusion and breakage of catalyst voids. Also provided is an internal reforming type solid oxide fuel cell that uses the paper-like catalyst. This paper-like catalyst includes: a paper-like porous carrier in which inorganic fiber is formed in a paper-like shape; and a metal catalyst that has reforming activity for a hydrocarbon and is dispersed and supported on the surface of the paper-like porous carrier. At least part of the inorganic fiber constituting the paper-like porous carrier is ion conducting oxide fiber, and the reforming activity for hydrocarbons is high, resistance to thermal stress breakage strong, and casting in a prescribed size and shape easy, making for a high degree of freedom when forming a catalyst array. The internal reforming type solid oxide fuel cell that uses this paper-like catalyst for a hydrocarbon reforming catalyst can suppress thermal stress breakage and degradation due to carbon deposition; therefore, power can be generated more stably.
