Disclosed is a device for reversing the forward and backward rotation of a brush holder of an electrical tool, the device comprising a machine body (1), a drive motor, a rotatable brush holder assembly (2) and a forward and backward rotation switch assembly (3), wherein the drive motor, the rotatable brush holder assembly (2) and the forward and backward rotation switch assembly (3) are provided in the machine body (1), a reverser of the drive motor is in contact with the brush, while the brush is fixedly mounted on the machine body (1) via the rotatable brush holder assembly (2); the forward and backward rotation switch assembly (3) is also fixedly mounted on the machine body (1); and a shift rod (5) of the forward and backward rotation switch assembly (3) is inserted into the rotatable brush holder assembly (2), and the shift rod (5) of the forward and backward rotation switch assembly (3) is able to move synchronously with the rotatable brush holder assembly (2).
