The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method, etc., for efficiently growing intestinal epithelium-derived somatic stem cells. This method of producing intestinal epithelium-derived somatic stem cells involves steps (A) and (B) below: (A) a step of expressing genes of a protein having activity for causing transition through the G0 phase or G1 phase to the S phase in a cell group including cells making up the intestinal epithelium; (B) a step of culturing the cells obtained in step (A) in the presence of extracellular growth factor.
