The present technical solution is directed to enhancing the performance characteristics of a traditional archery bow and to improving firing outcomes. The invention relates to the art of producing sports bows and, more particularly, traditional sports bows. In the traditional bow, the grip (1) has a triangular structure with limb pockets (5, 6) situated at the corners thereof and a slight leftward bend away from the vertical plane of symmetry of the bow just sufficient for the passage of an arrow (10) with fletching. The arrow rest (2) has a Y-shaped profile and is commensurable in length with the length of stretch of the bow and is mounted on the elongate portion of the grip at a slight upwards angle to the horizontal. An offset rack (301) with a sight bead (315) is fastened to the elongate portion of the grip (1) by means of an eccentric clamp, wherein the sight bead (315) can be located in either the top or the bottom part of a sight (3). The front stabilizer (4) is in the form of a load-bearing tube (401) mounted perpendicular to the vertical plane of symmetry of the bow and having weighted discs (407, 408) at each end. Each of the two pockets (5, 6) can be angularly adjusted and is mounted on the grip (1) in such a way that the bowstring can pass through the region of the pockets (5, 6) without touching same. When the bow is loaded, each of the two limbs (7, 8) consists of two straight resilient slats (701, 702, 801, 802) mounted vertically in the pockets (5, 6) and forming a straight line with the bowstring (9). The outer edges of each pair of resilient slats (701, 702) and (801, 802) are mutually tensioned by bolts (709, 809), on which bodies (703, 803) with the bowstring (9) are positioned. In the initial stage, the bow is stretched with considerable force, while in the final stage (during aiming), the bowstring retaining force becomes negligible. In order to stop the bowstring (9) rapidly and to separate the arrow (10) briskly therefrom, a baffle plate (11) is installed in the middle of the rear part of the grip (1). In order to limit the length of stretch of the bow, a restraining cord (12) is provided, one end of which is fastened to the bowstring (9) and the other end to the grip (1).
