OPTIMISATION POTENTIALS IN INDUSTRIAL PLANTS

The invention relates to a method for determining at least one optimisation potential in an industrial plant. In order to be able to determine optimisation potentials simply and reliably, according to the invention: the hardware installed in the plant is detected automatically via information from an automation and/or a management system of the plant; all operating parameters relevant to the at least one optimisation are recorded periodically over a predeterminable first period of time; an empirical average value is calculated for a predeterminable second period of time for at least one variable characterising the at least one optimisation; the recorded operating parameters are analysed with regard to the at least one optimisation potential; for the at least one characterising value at least one theoretical average value for the second period of time is calculated, which value is arrived at from an amended operation and/or from an amended piece of hardware; for the amended operation and the amended piece of hardware known data from comparable plants and/or comparable pieces of hardware are used; and at least one difference is determined between the at least one empirical average value and the at least one theoretical average value, as the at least one optimisation potential.
