Disclosed are a Chinese medicinal composition for treating a wind-heat common cold and a preparation method and application thereof. The Chinese medicinal composition is prepared by: 400 - 800 parts by weight of honeysuckle, 400 - 800 parts by weight of trollflower, 100 - 300 parts by weight of gentiana dahurica fisch flower, and 700 - 1,300 parts by weight of isatis root; or 400 - 800 parts by weight of a honeysuckle extract, 400 - 800 parts by weight of a trollflower extract, 100 - 300 parts by weight of a gentiana dahurica fisch flower extract, and 700 - 1,300 parts by weight of an isatis root extract. The honeysuckle extract, the trollflower extract, the gentiana dahurica fisch flower extract and the isatis root extract are an ethanol extract, a water extraction and ethanol precipitation extract or a purified product of the two extracts obtained via a macroporous resin column.
