FAST TRANSIENT RESPONSE DC-DC SWITCHING CONVERTER WITH HIGH LOAD REGULATION RATE

A fast transient response DC-DC switching converter with a high load regulation rate, which is provided with an electric current detection circuit (101), a slope compensation circuit (102), a pulse width modulator (103), a BUCK topology circuit (106) containing a power transistor, an output inductor, a filtering capacitor and a load, an error amplifier (104) and a voltage detector (105). The error amplifier (104) and the voltage detector (105) sample the output voltages V_OUT of the BUCK topology circuit (106) and compare same to a reference voltage V_REF respectively, output signals of the error amplifier (104) and the voltage detector (105) are superposed and input to the pulse width modulator (103), the electric current detection circuit (101) detects the inductive current in the BUCK topology circuit (106), a periodic slope signal generated by the slope compensation circuit (102) and an output end signal of the electric current detection circuit (101) are superposed and input to an input end of the pulse width modulator (103), and an output end of the pulse width modulator (103) controls a power transistor gate signal in the BUCK topology circuit (106). The fast transient response DC-DC switching converter with a high load regulation rate can improve the transient response speed of the output voltage of the switching converter, and can reduce the steady-state error range of the output voltage to increase the load regulation rate.
