In one example embodiment, this method comprises the steps consisting of:- sending a service request (1) from a terminal (TB) of the first user to a telephone application server (CS), particularly to inform the first user that he or she is the recipient of a forwarding rule for telephone calls initially intended for a second user,- then, when a forwarding rule for calls initially intended for the second user to that terminal (TB) of the first user:-- sending (4) to that telephone application server (CS) a forwarding publication message, containing the first user's identity, the second user's identity, and an indicator indicating the creation of a forwarding rule,-- then sending (5) a forwarding notification, from that telephone application server (CS) to the terminal (TB) of the first user, in the form of text, this notification containing the second user's identity, and an indicator indicating the creation of a forwarding rule,-- and persistently displaying a forwarding indication and text indicating the second user's identity, on the terminal (TB; PC2; PC2') that received that notification.
