TESTING FOR REGULAR SETPOINT VALUE DEVIATIONS OF A PARAMETER IN AN ELONGATE TEXTILE TEST OBJECT

In the method for testing for regular events in an elongate textile test object, measured values of a property of the textile test object are recorded along the longitudinal direction of the textile test object. Values of a parameter of the textile test object are determined from the measured values. In an event field (6), at least two different, contiguous sets of points (71, 72) are defined by events in the test object. Sets of events are formed by assigning events ascertained in the test object to one of the sets of points according to the parameter values of said events. Events with parameter values which differ from a setpoint value are statistically examined along the longitudinal direction for a regular occurrence. The examination is carried out separately in each of the sets (71, 72). Regular yarn events can thus be assessed and ascertained in a more sophisticated manner than in the prior art.
