The conveyor device (1) has a deflection device (29) that is arranged outside an endless tensile unit (2) by a rotatably mounted guide unit (3). A guide surface is interrupted by regularly arranged recesses into which an entrainment unit (15) is accommodated. An adjusting device is provided for adjusting the orientation of the guide unit with respect to the endless traction unit during operation of the conveyor.
