The pedestrian-controlled high lift truck (1) has driving unit (2) that is provided with steerable drive wheel (6). A load unit (3) is provided with load arms (4) which are spaced-apart in vehicle transverse direction. The load arms are provided with load rollers (5). A mast (15) is arranged between the load arms and driving unit. A pivotable steering arm (7) is arranged on the driving unit, to control traction drive of high lift truck platform. An operator platform (20) is attached to the mast, and is raised and lowered above the load arms.
