Seal system and generator with the seal system for sealing a gap

The system has a sealing ring (13) made of an elastic material. A sealing plate bridges a gap at first and second sealing surfaces (8, 9). A third sealing surface (12) faces towards a high pressure chamber i.e. intermediate space. The ring is laid at the third surface together with the first and second surfaces in fluid tight manner. The ring includes a groove (14) at a side, which faces away from the third surface and towards the chamber, so that the ring is pressed at the sealing surfaces in fluid tight manner by a pressure difference between the high pressure chamber and a sealing chamber. An independent claim is also included for a generator.
