A computed tomography device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a computed tomography (CT) scanner provided with an X-ray source, a detector provided with a plurality of energy discriminating detectors for capturing incident X-ray photons emitted from the X-ray source, and a processing device which is configured so as to determine the number of incident X-ray photons which have been captured within a plurality of energy windows in the energy discriminating detectors and adjust the determined number of photons within the energy window of each energy discriminating detector on the basis of a given photon counting loss look-up table and the determined number of photons.
