An apparatus for automatically monitoring displacement on a surface of discontinuity and a monitoring method using same comprises: a sensor portion comprising a fixing member provided with through-holes, a connecting member coupled to the fixing member, and a sensor unit coupled to the connecting member; a sensor target portion comprising a support member having a rectangular plate shape, and a detecting member perpendicularly coupled to the support member so as to cross same; and a measuring portion connected to a signal output terminal on the sensor unit, wherein the a sensor detecting portion extending in the direction of three axes including an x-axis, a y-axis, and a z-axis is coupled to the sensor unit, wherein the sensor detecting portion detects displacement through electric signals delivered by coming into contact with each member of the sensor target portion, and thereby enables convenient measurement of deformation by using an electric fracture system for three axes comprising the sensor portion and the sensor target portion, which are fixed to each measuring area.
