The present invention relates to a molecule comprising (i) a peptide of formula I (SEQ ID NO. 34): Z₁-X₁X₂X₃DX₄X₅X₆PI-Z₂ (I) in which Z₁ and Z₂ denote optional peptide extensions at the N- and C- termini respectively, wherein Z₁ s when present, denotes a hydrophobic amino acid and wherein Z₂, when present, denotes -X₇X₈, in which X₈ may be present or absent, wherein: X₁ denotes a hydrophobic amino acid; X₂ denotes a polar amino acid; X₃ denotes a polar amino acid; X₄ denotes an ionic amino acid having a negatively charged side chain; X₅ denotes a polar or hydrophobic amino acid; X₆ denotes a hydrophobic amino acid; X₇, when present, denotes a hydrophobic amino acid; and X₈, when present, denotes a polar amino acid; or (ii) a peptidomimetic of a peptide of formula I and to the use of these molecules in the treatment of neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia.
