In the context of the analysis of a blood sample (7), it is provided to submit a first part (22) of the blood sample (7) to a first differential analysis (A1) with respect to peroxidase activity of the leucocytes, and a second part (37) of the blood sample (7) to a second differential analysis (A2) with respect to the structuring of the leucocytes. In this case, a warning indication (W) is generated, if, according to the index of the two differential analyses (A1, A2), the fraction (%PP) of the peroxidase-positive leucocytes in the blood sample (7) exceeds the fraction (%PMN) of the polymorphonuclear granulocytes in an anomalous manner and, if according to the index of the second differential analysis (A2) the fraction (%BLAST) of the immature mononuclear leucocytes is increased in an anomalous manner.
