Provided are a control method and device for ultra-high definition display and an ultra-high definition television. The control method for ultra-high definition display comprises the following steps: decomposing a received 4K*2K signal into 2K*1K transition signals; decoding the 2K*1K transition signals for obtaining 2K*1K screen display signals; and converting the 2K*1K screen display signals into a 4K*2K target signal to be supplied to an ultra-high definition screen for realizing ultra-high definition display. For a source of the 4K*2K signal, in the present invention, by decomposing same into 2K*1K transition signals for facilitating the decoding processing of a traditional television chip for obtaining 2K*1K screen display signals and combining the decoded 2K*1K screen display signals into a 4K*2K target signal, the purpose of ultra-high definition display of an ultra-high definition screen on a ultra-high definition signal is achieved.
