The present invention relates to a monitoring system aimed mainly at providing accurate information on the structural conditions of the wires in all the layers of a riser tensile armour. The proposed technology accurately determines the occurrence of ruptures of the external and internal wires of the tensile armour of flexible pipes, making it possible to evaluate the risk of integrity failure of a riser structure.
