The present invention relates to a method and a device in which a mobile blind node is used to determine the position of a fixed blind node within a localization area, wherein the fixed blind node is configured to transmit a signal to the mobile blind node. According to the present invention, the fixed blind node can be localized using both RSS measurements of signals exchanged between the fixed blind node and the mobile blind node and RSS measurements of signals exchanged between the mobile blind node and reference nodes having known positions. This allows a better accuracy to be achieved compared to systems in which a combination of GPS and RSS techniques is used.
