METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETERMINING TYPE OF VIDEO SIGNAL TO BE OUTPUT

A method for determining a type of video signal to be output is provided. The method includes: respectively extracting detection signals in video signals in different video output interface modes; respectively converting the extracted detection signal into a direct current voltage signal; and respectively comparing the direct current voltage signal with a voltage threshold, and determining, according to a comparison result, a type of video signal to be output. An embodiment further provides an apparatus for determining a type of video signal to be output. The embodiments of the present invention, by respectively extracting a detection signal included in a video signal in each video output interface mode, and comparing a voltage of the detection signal with a voltage threshold, determine whether a corresponding DAC port in the each video output interface mode is connected to a load terminal, and thereby determine a video signal to be output. Because only voltage comparison is used for implementation when it is determined whether a load terminal is connected, the implementation solution features simple implementation and a low cost.
